Technical Sales Manager – Hybrid, Cambridgeshire. Data Centre Hardware / Infrastructure Sector.

We are looking for a dynamic, technical Sales Manager to take ownership of the commercial growth for our Cambridgeshire based client, at a really exciting time for the business.

You will be responsible for driving new business, managing key accounts, and delivering revenue targets, while also building and leading a small sales team. This position requires you to remain hands on in the sales process - identifying opportunities, engaging with clients, and closing deals yourself, as well as supporting your team to do the same.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share in the data centre sector
  • Personally drive new business through proactive engagement and technical sales expertise
  • Build, lead, and mentor a small sales team to achieve growth targets
  • Manage relationships with key accounts and grow long term partnerships
  • Produce accurate forecasts, sales reports, and market intelligence to support decision making
  • Work closely with internal departments to align customer requirements
About You
  • Proven track record in technical sales, ideally within data centre hardware, IT infrastructure, or related technology sectors
  • Experience in both hands on selling and leading a small team
  • Strong ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Commercially driven, with the resilience to achieve and exceed targets
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or similar is desirable, though not essential
