Technical Project Manager – Software Projects

Belfast (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver a variety of software development projects for our client in Belfast City Centre.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who can effectively bridge the gap between engineering teams and business stakeholders.

You’ll be responsible for driving project delivery, working directly with customers, ensuring alignment with business goals, and maintaining a hands-on understanding of the technical aspects of the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and deliver software projects from initiation through to completion.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and maintain project visibility through Jira and other project management tools.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, product, and business teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and blockers, and implement solutions proactively.
• Act as a technical partner to the development team, with the ability to understand software design, architecture, and coding challenges.
• Provide clear communication and reporting to senior stakeholders.

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development environments.
• Must have client facing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using Jira.
• Technically adept with a solid understanding of software development lifecycles and familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
