Technical Production Manager

Location: South West London

Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

We are working with a leading, fast-growing events agency in South West London to recruit a Technical Production Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering high-profile live events in the UK and internationally.

As Technical Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end technical delivery of client events, ensuring excellence across sound, lighting, video, set construction and rigging. You’ll be client-facing, confident managing multiple stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead on all technical aspects of event delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for technical requirements, liaising directly with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Produce and interpret CAD drawings, floor plans and technical specifications.
• Oversee the installation, operation, and de-rig of all technical equipment on-site.
• Manage multi-currency budgets effectively and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety best practices and industry regulations.
• Support the wider team with technical expertise, mentoring junior staff where required.
• Travel nationally and internationally for site visits, inspections, and live event delivery.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role within an event agency or technical event production environment.
• Strong knowledge across all technical disciplines: sound, lighting, video, set construction, and rigging.
• Excellent working knowledge of CAD software (with the ability to draft plans).
• Strong understanding of audio-visual options and capabilities.
• Familiarity with PROCIM, Google Docs, and Salesforce (desirable).
• Exceptional organisation, prioritisation, and project management skills.
• Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-currency budgets.
• A proactive team player with tenacity around processes and best practices.
• Flexibility to travel and work internationally when required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
