Support the Team Leader in the effective day‑to‑day management and delivery of a comprehensive technical service to roads operations across the Alliance, ensuring the provision and implementation of relevant statutory regulations and legislation related to the work in order to achieve the Joint Committee’s key objectives; specifically in relation to both Council’s Community Plans, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreements and Best Value.

Responsibilities
  • Support day‑to‑day management and delivery of technical services to roads operations across the Alliance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and legislation relevant to the work.
  • Help achieve the Joint Committee’s key objectives relating to Council’s Community Plans, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreements and Best Value.
  • Assist with pre‑employment checks and reference management as per national guidance (“Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment”).
The Individual

This is a temporary full‑time post based at County Buildings, Ayr, temporary until 31 March 2027.

Work schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary: £42,115 – £45,882 per annum.

Flexibility: 50–79% of your time in an office location or multiple work locations. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 2.5 to 4 days per week and only occasionally from home. Office‑based employees (except those working in schools) are expected to work to the higher end of their allocated work style in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.
