This role covers networking, cloud technologies, servers, endpoint management, and cybersecurity, requiring strong technical expertise and clear communications skills lead.

Overview

An established IT Service Provider based in Aberdeen is seeking a skilled Technical Lead to deliver advanced technical support across a diverse client base. The role involves resolving complex issues, supporting infrastructure, and acting as an escalation point for other IT Engineers.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Providing support across networking, cloud, server, and endpoint environments.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, VLANs, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Administering Azure AD, Office 365, and hybrid Active Directory environments.
  • Managing Windows Server, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions.
  • Implementing and maintaining cybersecurity tools including AV/EDR/XDR and SIEM.
  • Supporting endpoint management using Intune, Autopilot, and MDM/EMM.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical support role (MSP experience desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, cloud platforms, and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and endpoint management tools.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and monitoring tools.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, etc.) are advantageous.
