Joseph Gallagher is the leading UK based Civil Engineering & Tunneling sub-contractor, growing significantly in the last 37 years into an international business. We have an award-winning reputation, industry leading safety culture and have had the privilege to be a part of some of the most critical infrastructure projects taking place today.

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Bid Writer to join our Business Development team based in Belfast

The Technical Bid Writer will coordinate and review bid submissions with the Work Winning Director and provide general technical bid support to the business.

We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience but the role would also be well suited to a Site Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager who is used to working in a fast-paced environment and looking for the next step in their progression to join the work winning team on securing new contracts for the civils and tunneling business Divisions.

As theTechnical Bid Writer, you will be required to:
  • Develop the Bid Strategy with the Head of Department
  • Research technical requirements, client, specifications, qualifications, etc
  • Plan Bid Submissions, deadlines for internal and external returns and review of information
  • Proof read information supplied by the bid team
  • Create templates and writing for all tenders
  • Become full conversed with the clients' expectations on technical submissions
  • Write and coordinate technical bid submissions with the support of the Estimating Team and Contracts Managers.
  • Coordinate the TQ process internally and with the client.
  • Assist the Tender Team with collation of information and physical completion of PQQs
  • Keep tender technical support documentation up-to-date on the tender server
  • Aid in the supply of information for tender submissions from sites/company resources, requiring interface with various business functions
  • Proof read, format and submit tender PQQ documentation to clients

  • Be a multi-tasker able to support multiple teams in various remote locations
  • Experience within a construction or civil engineering business
