Join Our Enforcement Team – Technical Assistant Opportunity!

Are you looking for an exciting role where you can make a real difference in your community? East Lindsey District Council is growing its Enforcement Team—and we want you to be part of it!

This exciting opportunity follows a funding award to strengthen our efforts in tackling unauthorised occupancy on Holiday Caravan Parks across the district. With over 30,000 caravans in our area, our team helps keep holiday parks safe, compliant, and welcoming for residents and visitors. This work supports local tourism and our economy—and you’ll play a key role in making it happen.

What You’ll Do

As a Technical Assistant, you’ll provide essential technical and administrative support to the Enforcement Team, helping deliver a service that is fit for the future. Your work will focus on:

  • Assisting with all administrative duties on cases and complaints
  • Assisting with compliance checks on planning permissions and licensing conditions for Holiday Caravan Parks.
  • Supporting enforcement action in line with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Managing your own caseload and contributing to wider planning enforcement activities.
  • Work with colleagues across services such as Planning Enforcement, Council Tax, Housing, and Wellbeing to achieve positive outcomes.

This is a hybrid role, combining office-based tasks, agile working, and occasional site visits or meetings. Some out-of-hours work may be required, but you’ll benefit from our agile and flexible working initiatives.

What we’re looking for:
  • Skilled in administration and record-keeping, with strong attention to detail.
  • Resilient and professional when dealing with challenging customers and conversations, including over the phone.
  • Organised and able to manage a varied workload, prioritising tasks effectively.
  • This role involves regular travel across a wide rural district, with multiple site visits on a regular basis, so the ability to independently and reliably travel as part of your daily duties is essential.

No experience working in caravan licencing and enforcement? No problem- We’ll provide full training!
