Location: Berkshire (with occasional travel outside this area, mainly London and South East)

Salary: £45,000‑£53,000 basic (DOE) + car allowance, commission, healthcare, pension, and performance‑related bonuses

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a leading organisation in the water treatment and compliance sector. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a medium‑sized existing client base while driving new business growth. The role involves working closely with M&E consultants and contractors, managing projects from specification through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of M&E consultant clients.
  • Develop and execute strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  • Achieve product specifications and convert them into orders.
  • Build strong relationships with decision‑makers including engineers, project managers, and buyers.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance and profitability.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations (e.g., ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04‑01).
Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management/business development, ideally within the construction or water treatment industry.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management.
  • Full UK driving licence.
