Job description

The Identity & Authentication Platform delivers capabilities to enable LBG business areas secure client and digital authentication and identity across all their digital channels. The Platform delivers core products including Identity & Authentication as a Service, giving end‑to‑end packaged services of several components for self‑serve consumption.

  • ID&Auth as a Service, giving end‑to‑end packaged services of several components for self‑serve consumption to provide strategic capabilities of centralised and reusable authentication services.
  • A suite of authentication methods (either single or multi‑factor depending on regulatory obligations).
  • A scaled, centralised and hosting‑agnostic Authorisation as a Service capability consisting of a Token Exchange component and the provision of a signed token for Channels to use downstream, allowing management of their access.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead end‑to‑end design, implementation and delivery of future architecture for highly scalable, resilient low‑latency systems
  • Collaborate with the head of engineering, product owners, solution architects, and other colleagues to define and drive the software engineering teams' roadmap, scope, and delivery goals
  • Lead engineering best practices
  • Drive technical strategy and direction for the engineering team
  • Deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple entities across the group
  • Drive the culture of delivering highly secured and high‑quality software
  • Identify and eliminate recurring issues by automating processes
  • Proficiency in scripting in Java; also any working knowledge of Go, JavaScript and React would be beneficial
  • Significant experience in designing, building and supporting distributed systems and large‑scale data processing systems in production with a proven track record
  • Proven experience of automation and CI/CD and of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and of Kafka
  • Practical experience of cloud‑native solutions, and of cloud platforms and storage such as GCP and Azure
