A community support organization in Buckler's Park is seeking a Team Leader for their residential home, The Green. The role involves overseeing care delivery, leading support workers, and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Applicants should have relevant experience and leadership skills, and a full, clean UK driving license is required. Competitive benefits include training opportunities and a supportive work environment.
We are looking for a Team Leader in our The Green residential home, to join our friendly team within Ravenswood Village. The Green is a residential service that supports people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives.
Founded in 1795, Norwood is the oldest Jewish charity in the UK that supports and empowers neurodiverse children, their families and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives. Norwood has been privileged to receive Royal Patronage since 1815.
Norwood works with local authorities to deliver wide ranging services including residential and supported living accommodation, short break facilities as well as a range of support groups aimed at the whole family, not just the individual.
The Green is a single level ground floor home. It consists of 13 self-contained flats surrounding a lush outdoor area. Inside is a central hub which includes a kitchen, lounge, dining area, laundry facilities and television areas. This building also houses the offices for the manager and staff.
The Green staff support 13 friendly and social residents with a wide range of interests. This includes volunteering at our on-site stables, going shopping, walking around Ravenswood village, pop music, cycling, music, TV, and films. The people we support communicate verbally, at different levels. Makaton, PECS and objects of reference are also used by some of the residents.
We actively celebrate everyone’s different abilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, faith, and gender. Everyone is welcome and supported in their development at all stages in their journey with us.
We are a kind and compassionate community. Empowerment and respect are at the heart of everything we do and believe in at Norwood.
If you are positive and resilient and a force for good, we are for you!
We strive for excellence and to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support. Our team is one of our biggest assets.
We nurture a supportive environment for our people, with tailored training and career development at all levels.
We reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
