Team Leader - Residential Children's Home

Location: Winchester, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000-£34,000 + £50 sleep-ins
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a small residential home for up to three children is seeking a Team Leader to provide high-quality, trauma-informed care and lead a team of Support Workers. You'll oversee shifts, respond to incidents, support care planning, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities of a Team Leader:
  • Lead and mentor staff, ensuring excellent standards of care
  • Provide senior cover across days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
  • Build positive relationships using PACE and trauma-informed approaches
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding and Ofsted standards
  • Support daily operations and liaise with external professionals
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Previous experience in residential childcare
  • At least 12 months previous experience in a Senior/Team Leader capacity
  • Confident supporting children with complex emotional/behavioural needs
  • Able to lead shifts and make sound decisions
  • Resilient, empathetic, and flexible
Desirable
  • Senior/Shift Leader experience
  • Level 5 ambition
  • Knowledge of PACE
  • Full UK driving licence
