Exciting Opportunity for a Team Leader - Property Manager – Join Our Residential Lettings Team

We have an exciting opportunity for a professional, enthusiastic, and tenacious Team Leader to join our established residential lettings team. The successful candidate will be supporting an experienced Manager and Assistant Manager looking after a team of 20 individuals.

The Team Leader will look after a small portfolio personally, whilst supporting the Assistant Manager with the day‑to‑day management duties.

This role will suit someone already overseeing a small team within the same environment or an experienced Property Manager looking to progress in their career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle maintenance‑related queries from private tenants living in properties managed by our company on behalf of landlords.
  • Report maintenance issues to approved contractors and coordinate access for repairs or quotations.
  • Keep landlords informed with regular updates on the progress of resolving maintenance issues.
  • Accurately maintain records in our internal database, documenting all inquiries, actions taken, and relevant communications.
  • Collaborate regularly with local lettings branches and other internal teams involved in property management.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in residential lettings or property management is essential.
  • A proactive problem‑solver with a ‘can‑do’ attitude and the ability to tackle maintenance issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional, confident, and approachable demeanour.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritise urgent tasks amidst a busy workload.
  • Proficient in IT, with a solid understanding of MS Office tools.
Salary & Benefits:

Full time basic salary £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on relevant experience plus bonuses and year‑end profit share. Realistic OTE up to £35,000 per annum.

Training & Development:
  • Comprehensive training will be provided, tailored to your level of experience.
Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays on a rota basis (approximately 1 in 6).
  • Some time off in lieu will be given for any Saturday shifts worked.
Hybrid Working:
  • During your probation period, you’ll be based at our Head Office in Springfield, Chelmsford.
  • Upon successful completion of your probation, you’ll transition to a hybrid working model, combining both home and office‑based work.
