Job description
Overview

Band 7 - District Nurse Team Leader (full-time). You will need to be a Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing. The post is based with the Victoria PCN District Nurse team and supports a seven-day service within Stockport Neighbourhood Care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead District Nurse activities within the Primary Care Networks, working in partnership with social care colleagues, primary and secondary care.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise and leadership in practice, with sound knowledge of current issues relating to community nursing.
  • Apply good organisational and assessment skills, be flexible, and cover the service between 8:00 and 18:00 as required.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be adaptable, reliable and approachable.
  • Lone working capability is required; a driving licence and access to a car for work are necessary.
  • Adopt safeguarding practices in line with Trust policies and procedures for children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Qualifications
  • Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing (Band 7).
  • Flexible, innovative practitioner with a variety of clinical skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant nursing issues and ability to provide leadership in practice.
