Job Title: Team Leader / Senior in a Children's Home

Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire

Salary: £37,000 inclusive of sleep-in allowance (average 10 per month) + overtime at time and a third

Service: Children’s Residential Home (Ofsted)

Service Users: Young People (YP) with various needs, including EBD, CSE, CCE

About the Role:

Are you a compassionate and experienced professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Team Leader to join our client’s children’s residential home. You will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people aged 6 to 17 who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may exhibit challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee shifts with Residential Support Workers
  • Manage risks in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Communicate daily plans effectively with your team
  • Provide detailed reports and documentation using our paperless systems
  • Review and update care plans and associated documentation regularly
  • Offer positive parenting and exceptional communication
  • Stay informed on current legislation, such as the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
Qualifications Required:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care
  • OR Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce Diploma
  • OR Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (Residential Pathway)
About You:

You are an empathetic, open-minded professional with:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in children's or young adults’ residential care within the last 5 years
  • A full manual driving licence
  • A passion for supporting children and young people and a commitment to their development
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
