Overview

Position: Children\'s Residential Team Leader

Location: Lancaster, LA1

Working Hours: 42 hours per week

Salary: £32,738 per annum

Sleep-In Allowance: £78.30 per sleep-in (up to 8 per month, adding £7,500+ annually)

We are seeking passionate and experienced Team Leaders to join a dedicated children\'s residential care team. This role involves supporting children and young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and may have additional needs such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), or other complex challenges.

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of each shift, supporting staff, and maintaining a nurturing, family-style environment. You\'ll help children build relationships, engage with their community, and develop life skills. You\'ll also be responsible for safeguarding, overseeing daily routines, and maintaining high standards of care and hygiene within the home.

  • Support the day-to-day running of each shift, guiding and supervising staff to deliver high-quality care.
  • Maintain a nurturing, family-style environment and help children develop relationships and life skills.
  • Safeguard children and young people, oversee daily routines, and ensure high standards of care and hygiene within the home.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in Children\'s Residential Care (or willingness to enrol)
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience in a children\'s residential setting
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep-ins (e.g., 8am-10pm plus sleep-in 10pm-7am)
  • Confidence in leading a team and supporting colleagues
