Job description
Overview

As Team Leader, your primary focus will be to support Hannah in living a full, active, and fulfilling life. You will help maximise her independence and ensure care and support are delivered to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate a team of 24/7 Support Workers
  • Manage rotas, cover arrangements, and day-to-day staffing needs
  • Lead inductions, appraisals, and supervisions
  • Identify training needs and ensure staff are well-equipped
  • Promote Hannah’s learning, wellbeing, and independence at home and in the community
  • Ensure all care provided is safe, effective, and person-centred

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, compassion, and a commitment to quality care. You will be part of a supportive care team, helping to maximise Hannah’s opportunities and independence.

About the Client

Hannah has Cerebral Palsy affecting all four limbs. She uses an AAC Grid 3 for communication and requires time to respond to questions. She has a team of Support Workers and requires 2:1 assistance for transfers and personal care to maintain comfort.

Essential
  • Supporting young adults in their own home
  • Supporting adults with Cerebral Palsy
Desirable
  • Experience working with young adults with trauma
  • An interest in therapy
Accommodation and Duties

Accommodation (while on duty): Carer facilities. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, with the advert closing when sufficient applications are received. Start date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks).

Required Experience

  • Water confidence to assist with swimming
  • Full UK driving licence to drive a wheelchair-adapted vehicle
