Job Title : Team Leader

Residential Care Home

Salary : £13 per hour | Hours : 36 hours per week | Shifts : Days only, 12-hour shifts (3 days per week)

Responsible to : Nurse in Charge / Deputy Manager / Registered Manager

We are looking for a caring and motivated Team Leader to support the smooth running of our residential care home. This role offers a step up from Senior Care Assistant, with additional responsibility for leading staff on shift while continuing to provide hands‑on care to residents.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support staff on shift to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care is delivered at all times.

Work closely with the nurse in charge to coordinate daily activities and maintain continuity of care.

Supervise, support and mentor Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants.

Deliver direct care in line with individual care plans, promoting dignity, respect and independence.

Monitor Service Users wellbeing and report any concerns or changes promptly.

Ensure accurate completion of care records, handovers and incident reports.

Promote and adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control policies.

Maintain confidentiality and act professionally at all times.

About You

Experience as a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker or similar role within a residential care setting.

Confident leading a team and supporting colleagues on shift.

A caring, reliable and professional approach to work.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Remuneration and Hours

This role offers £13 per hour, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour shifts, 3 days per week, with opportunity for overtime and enhanced responsibility and the opportunity to develop leadership skills within a supportive care environment.
