Overview

The Role: We're looking for a hardworking, proactive Team Leader to coach and support our South Independent Lives team in delivering meaningful social care. This role requires someone who can think on their feet, solve day-to-day challenges independently, and take ownership of operational decisions without direct Service Manager support.

What You'll Do
  • Lead by example and mentor your team
  • Promote dignity, inclusion, and person-centred care
  • Carry out audits, medication observations, and staff supervisions
  • Be accessible to your team and act as the first point of contact for operational queries
  • Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Be available out of hours to provide advice and support when required
  • Work every other weekend
  • Arrange visits, tours, and initial assessments for new referrals
  • Uphold Health & Safety standards and follow Leading Lives policies and procedures
  • Act as a role model and embed a positive work culture within the team
  • Work openly and honestly with customers and professionals to shape service delivery
  • Level 3 in Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and IT skills
  • Experience in social care and a passion for people
  • A good work ethic and the drive to go the extra mile
  • Confidence to work independently and solve problems effectively

Role Details
  • Team Leader - South Suffolk Independent Lives £13.10/hr + Enhancements | Employee-Owned Organisation
  • 37 Hour Contract
  • We pay the Real Living Wage (currently £12.60 per hour)
