A dedicated care service provider in Caversham is looking for a passionate Team Leader to manage day-to-day operations and support residents in gaining independence. Ideal candidates will have experience as a Team Leader or Support Worker and a commitment to helping individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities. Qualifications

  • Experience as a Team Leader or as a Support Worker.
  • Willingness to work towards Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Challenging Behaviour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
  • Allocate shifts and book training.
  • Induct new colleagues and conduct supervisions.
  • Develop and update care plans.
  • Order medication.
  • Support residents with finances and daily living tasks.
  • Empower residents to pursue independence.
  • Conduct 2 sleep-ins per week.

Overview

Team Leaders with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a Team Leader to join us in our lovely three bed service in Caversham. The service supports three long-term residents who have shared their home for over 30 years and have formed a close-knit, family-like bond. They are supported by a dedicated and longstanding team that promotes their independence and encourages them to engage in everyday activities. The residents are capable and active individuals who attend college and participate in volunteer work, meaning they are often out and about in the community.

As a Team Leader with us you’ll help people gain more independence in their daily lives, while assisting the Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day supervision and management of the service in the absence of the manager
  • Allocate shifts and book in training
  • Induct new colleagues, conduct supervisions and appraisals
  • Develop and update care plans
  • Order medication
  • Support residents to manage their finances and daily living tasks
  • Ensure the people we support are empowered to pursue independence and goals
  • 2 sleep-ins required per week
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience as a Team Leader or as a Support Worker (candidates at either level are welcome)
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willing to work towards one
  • Experience working with residents who have Autism, Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour
