Job Description: Team Leader

Gap Personnel who operate as an employment business are recruiting for 1 Team Leader.

Location: Congleton CW12

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Pay: Dependent on experience

Our client is a growing supplier of high-quality cable assemblies and wiring solutions, trusted by clients across a range of industries. They pride themselves on their precision, flexibility, and customer-focused approach, and are now looking for a motivated Team Leader to help support their expanding operations.

Role Overview

The Team Leader will be responsible for supervising and supporting a small production team to ensure daily operations run smoothly. This hands-on role combines leadership with active involvement in production, ensuring that targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and staff are motivated and supported in their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coordinate, and support production staff on the shop floor.
  • Assist in the training and development of new and existing team members.
  • Monitor workload and allocate tasks to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency in all work.
  • Be a point of contact between staff and management, communicating updates clearly.
  • Encourage a positive, safe, and supportive working environment.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements.
  • Take a hands-on role in production (cable assembly, wiring, testing, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent communication and people-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
