Job summary

A local educational institution in Trafford is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a visually impaired pupil. The role involves working closely with teachers and specialists to modify materials and promote independence. Successful candidates will be passionate about helping young people and must be willing to undergo child protection checks. The contract is fixed term, supporting the student until their departure from school, with working hours of 32.5 hours per week and a starting salary from £23,608.

Fixed Term supporting a Year 9 pupil until they leave Wellington School

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive team and provide dedicated 1:1 support for a visually impaired student, ensuring access to the curriculum and promoting independence.

You will work closely with the class teachers, SENCO and external specialists to support their learning and development in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), including the preparation and modification of materials in a range of formats. Training and ongoing support will be provided including specialist input from Trafford Sensory Impairment Support Service.
