Teaching Assistant – Sport & Wellbeing Focus

Location: South Shields area
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time + Training Days
Start: Immediate
Pay: Great daily rate

We’re after a Teaching Assistant with a passion for sport and wellbeing. You’ll help pupils access physical activities as part of their personalised curriculum, support their engagement and promote healthy habits.

Your key responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils during PE lessons, sports clubs and wellbeing sessions

  • Encouraging participation, positive risk-taking and confidence building

  • Helping pupils with additional needs feel included in all activities

  • Supporting transitions and behaviour during active sessions

  • Working with teachers and coaches to adapt activities as needed

You’ll bring
  • Sporting experience (coaching, clubs, volunteering or PE background)

  • A patient, encouraging and adaptable approach

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
