Teaching Assistant SEMH School (Ages )
Location: Barking, East London
Salary: £100 £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in their education? An SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Barking is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, working with pupils aged years old.

The Role
  • Support students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons that engage and motivate learners.
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, promoting positive behaviour strategies.
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage independence, self-confidence, and social skills in pupils.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
