Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Academics is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (maths intervention) to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a full-time role with the potential to go permanent, offering an immediate start in an outstanding SEMH school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted maths interventions to small groups and 1:1 students
  • Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, both academically and emotionally
  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to tailor support strategies
  • Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for all students
Qualifications
  • Experience working with students with SEMH or similar needs (desirable)
  • Confident in supporting maths at KS3 and KS4 level
  • Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and engagement
  • Able to commit full-time, with a strong team ethic and passion for inclusive education
