Overview

Beechwood Primary School is a large, dynamic two‑form entry primary school on the outskirts of Leeds. We are actively promoting diversity and seeking a Teaching Assistant for UKS2 to support children in preparation for end of KS2 assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils individually and in small groups, under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Work within the classroom to prepare students for end of KS2 assessments.
  • Assist with general classroom support tasks and deliver targeted learning tasks.
  • Receive training and induction to facilitate delivery of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working within a primary school setting is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to play an active role in ensuring pupils receive high‑quality provision.
  • Strong safeguarding and child protection awareness.
Working Conditions
  • Temporary contract – one year in the first instance.
  • 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus five training days.
  • Comprehensive induction programme will be provided.
Recruitment & Safeguarding
  • Proof of identification (passport, birth certificate, driving licence) required.
  • Two referees will be contacted directly.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Child Protection training for all staff.
  • Safer recruitment practices and annual Child Protection training.
