  • SEN Operational Lead - Non teaching
  • Connect Manager
  • A Specialist Teacher
  • 25 Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)

Our staff work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for all our students particularly those with additional learning needs.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team and support students within our inclusive spaces. You will work closely with students to help them access the curriculum develop independence and build confidence. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring students feel supported safe and valued within our school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with special educational needs particularly in our Connect and Lighthouse spaces.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Support students in developing social and emotional skills particularly in a safe and structured environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
  • Monitor student progress and report on achievements providing feedback and guidance to both students and teachers.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience of working with young people ideally in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge or experience of supporting students with Autism and other learning needs is desirable particularly in an Autism-friendly environment.
  • A calm patient and empathetic approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude towards inclusivity and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
