Clarendon Academy is looking for a personable and motivated Teaching Assistant to work as part of our behaviour and inclusion team to provide support to students, starting January 2026 or as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to support and promote the school's culture of inclusivity and meet the needs of all its young people, including those who have learning gaps and who need to build confidence and resilience., Working Hours: Part time (30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, includes Teacher Training Days). Required: ASAP / January 2026 Clarendon Academy is a thriving co-educational, non-denominational secondary school and sixth form, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 18. As a behaviour support Teaching Assistant, you must be willing to work with students of all abilities and profiles across years 7-11, and be prepared to work flexibly to support students with complex needs, including those requiring SEN and behaviour support. In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated team that includes SLT, teachers, support staff and our SENCO. The role will require you to oversee and support pupils who struggle with behaviour, and who require consistency and kindness. Your role will be based out of the Behaviour Suite, where you will support the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour in the day-to-day running of the area and by working to identify and remove barriers for students who are often referred there by staff.
