A leading education recruitment agency is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Wantage with an ASAP start. This full-time contract allows the successful candidate to gain valuable classroom experience before beginning teacher training in September 2026. Candidates must hold a degree (2:1 or above) and ideally have previous experience working with children, although experience with SEN children is desirable. Competitive pay rate of £89-95 per day offered.

89-95 per day - Teacher Training from September 2026

One of the top primary schools in Wantage are searching for a graduate teaching assistant to join them ASAP. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in an inclusive and high performing primary school to develop your classroom experience before completing your teacher training. This is a 1 year contract working on a full‑time basis.

The Head Teacher is looking for a pro‑active and personable graduate teaching assistant with an excellent academic background. The teaching assistant will be supporting a Year 1 class. Experience with SEN children is desirable but not essential.

Education / Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is required (similar role or tutoring)
