Job description

The Catholic Partnership Supply Service (CPSS) are looking to appoint a talented teaching assistant in the Bearwood / Harborne area of Birmingham to start January 2026, working 5 full days per week. This is a long term supply post for at least 2 terms.

This role is SEN Support for pupils across KS1 and KS2, also offering general calls TA support. The successful candidate will encourage engagement in the classroom, identify when pupils require intervention and change of activity to manage potential challenging behaviour, support with speech and language and provide general academic support. Personal care may be required.

CPSS have an outstanding track record of helping teaching assistants launch or relaunch their careers. We work with newly qualified teaching assistants and teaching assistants in between jobs.

Qualifications we will consider
  • Teaching assistant related (level 2+)
  • University graduates
  • Childcare related (level 2+)
  • Health and social care related (with either school experience or basic knowledge of phonics)
  • Unqualified teaching assistants with classroom experience
