Job description

The Catholic Partnership Supply Service (CPSS) are looking to appoint a talented teaching assistant in the Smethwick area of Sandwell to start January 2026, working 5 full days per week. This is a long term supply post for at least 2 terms.

This role is SEN Support for pupils in year 3, support a group of pupils with additional needs. You will need a calm approach with empathy for the pupils you will be supporting. Prior SEND TA experience will be essential for this role.

CPSS have an outstanding track record of helping teaching assistants launch or relaunch their careers. We work with newly qualified teaching assistants and teaching assistants in between jobs.

Qualifications we will consider:
  • Teaching assistant related (level 2+)
  • University graduates
  • Childcare related (level 2+)
  • Health and social care related (with either school experience or basic knowledge of phonics)
  • Unqualified teaching assistants with classroom experience
