About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will deliver clear, instruction‑led support through focused one‑to‑one and small‑group work. You'll help pupils follow routines, stay on task, and develop stronger learning habits using straightforward, goal‑driven strategies. The environment demands control, reliability, and an organised approach.

Key Responsibilities as SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Targeted Support: Deliver structured academic assistance and practical interventions.
  • Classroom Execution: Implement tasks, adapted materials, and subject‑focused activities with precision.
  • Behaviour & Regulation: Apply consistent, firm strategies to build discipline, self‑management, and focus.
  • Performance Monitoring: Log key behaviours and provide direct updates to teaching staff.

To succeed as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:
