Overview

We are seeking an outstanding Assistant Principal for Teacher Development, specialising in English or Mathematics, to work within our high‑performing Academy.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate as a member of senior leadership to design, implement and evaluate teacher development programmes.
  • Support and mentor teachers in improving classroom practice and curriculum delivery.
  • Analyse performance data to identify areas for professional growth.
  • Co‑ordinate training sessions, workshops and peer‑learning opportunities.
  • Distribute progress reports to school governors and senior leadership.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding requirements are met and that staff adhere to safeguarding policies.
Qualifications
  • Essential: Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Essential: Over 1 year of experience in Early Years education.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
  • Desirable: Level 3 or higher qualification in early years education.
  • Desirable: Experience in a leadership or managerial role within an early years setting.
