The school and role

You may be placed in either KS1 or KS2, so confidence in supporting learning across Maths, English, and Science at varying ability levels is required. The role will also involve some one‑to‑one SEND support, working closely with children throughout the school day.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, resilient, and knowledgeable about both the primary curriculum and effective approaches to supporting pupils with SEND.

Requirements
  • Experience in a school, residential, or other work with children and young people.
  • Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model.
  • Ability to provide empathy, being aware and responding to individuals effectively.
  • Recent experience working in either KS1 or KS2 or a strong understanding of both areas of primary education.
  • A constructive and positive attitude towards learning and development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • A desire to work within a school that values continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults, with thorough interviewing, referencing, and an enhanced DBS check.
