Are you a SEN Teacher with a passion for supporting students with complex needs? TeacherActive is working with a highly respected SEN school in Bury that supports secondary‑aged students with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism, SLD, PMLD and complex communication challenges.

The Role
  • Teach small groups of secondary‑aged learners with complex needs.
  • Deliver a creative, sensory and differentiated curriculum that promotes engagement, independence and communication.
  • Work closely with a strong team of support staff, therapists and senior leaders to meet each student's EHCP targets.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
The Ideal SEN Teacher
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and previous experience within an SEN or complex needs setting.
  • Confident in using communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton or AAC.
  • A team player who is proactive, compassionate and resilient.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a child‑centred approach.
