A local education authority in Scotland seeks a dedicated Teacher of Support for Learning to deliver educational support to primary learners facing challenges in mainstream schooling. The role requires strong skills in inclusive teaching, the ability to work effectively with families and agencies, and a commitment to pupil well-being and engagement. Candidates must hold a teaching qualification and be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme. Full-time or part-time arrangements may be considered.
Teacher of Support for Learning (Adapted Curriculum) MOR11427 – Moray Inclusion, Wellbeing and Adapted Curriculum Team, MAC Central Flexible Learning Team (East). Working with primary learners from across the East of Moray in different settings, the SFL Teacher (Adapted Curriculum) will work in partnership with schools, families and other agencies to deliver targeted and time‑limited support programmes working with Primary School learners to address identified barriers to successful engagement in mainstream learning and to support inclusive practice in the learner’s mainstream school. We are seeking to appoint an inclusive practitioner with an interest in or experience of SFL or ASN work and the skills required to fully engage children and young people with learning in a variety of environments, including some who may be disengaged with school.

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
Applications will also be considered from applicants who are provisionally registered and are able to take up unpromoted permanent positions on a temporary basis. Full‑time posts would also be suitable for applicants wishing to apply on a job‑share or part‑time basis if appropriate.
