Overview

The Farnley Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Teacher of Mathematics. The successful candidate will teach and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to achieve their full potential in mathematics. This opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers and more experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Teach and inspire students across KS3 and KS4 to achieve excellent GCSE outcomes in mathematics.
• Plan, deliver and assess a high-quality curriculum and contribute to the department’s improvement planning.
• Use up-to-date subject knowledge and current developments in education, including effective use of the Pupil Premium.
• Put vision into practice within the department and wider school.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A trainee teacher successfully completing placements teaching KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training) OR a colleague with a successful teaching record at KS3/KS4 with Qualified Teacher Status.
• Detailed knowledge of current developments in education, including the effective use of the Pupil Premium.
