Teacher of Design and Technology

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Teacher of Design and Technology to join a thriving and well‑resourced department at a leading Secondary school, renowned for its academic excellence and vibrant co‑curricular life for the Autumn term

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to inspire pupils across the age range (Key Stage 3 to A‑Level), with the ability to deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that foster creativity, problem‑solving, and a deep appreciation for design. A specialism in resistant materials would be desirable, but we welcome applications from candidates with expertise in other areas of the subject.

Responsibilities
  • Be a dynamic and reflective practitioner with a strong subject knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for Design and Technology and an ability to communicate this to students.
  • Have experience (or the potential) to teach up to A‑Level.
  • Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including co‑curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (applications from ECTs are welcome).
