Job description
Teacher in Brickwork

As a Teacher in Brickwork, you'll be responsible for planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles; taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs, whilst assessing learners progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.

What you'll need:
  • Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated individual with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2, Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent) in Bricklaying or General Construction.
  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/PGCE/Bachelor of Education or will be required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment, relevant assessment qualifications – IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
  • Experienced and a strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Any hours worked during evening sessions will be deducted weekly from normal working hours according to the needs of the business.
