Job Overview

Role start June 2026. Salary up to £53,835 plus benefits. Bowersgate School brand new state‑of‑the‑art for 72 pupils aged 6‑16 with autism, social, emotional and mental health needs. You'll work with children and young people on the spectrum and SE/SMEH, help them learn, develop abilities and raise self‑esteem.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and support pupils with autism and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Use induction, on‑the‑job training, and collaborate with psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals.
  • Build positive relationships and celebrate small victories that build confidence.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably with SEND.
  • Resilient, dedicated and passionate about making a genuine difference.
