A leading educational institution in Cardiff is seeking a qualified teacher to join its team. The role involves planning and delivering lessons across various subjects, tailoring learning to meet the individual needs of students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to the well-being of children, ensuring a positive learning environment. This position supports a culture of continuous improvement and safeguarding, making it essential to engage collaboratively with colleagues.
Eastward House School
We are all primarily teachers of children before teachers of subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships and motivating students.
We are looking for a qualified teacher to add to our team. Our curricula spans Primary, Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key stage 3 and GCSE and Post 16 pathways. You will be supported by a small but enthusiastic and committed team, who can support the work of non-subject specialists to be experts in how best to facilitate learning for the children they know best.
Eastward House school teachers inspire children, creating a sense of awe and wonder and making subjects and lessons real and relevant to them. They plan exciting and engaging learning opportunities which challenge and push students, whether they are working on the very basics or they have a special talent or passion for the subject. Lessons are often tailored around individual likes and dislikes in the primary curriculum and are delivered in short manageable chunks in the older classes.
We want our teachers to be part of the decision making that drives our school, provides outcomes for children and advocates for every child. We welcome their input in developing both the academic curriculum and the opportunities in our extra-curricular offer – bringing their own interests and passions to the table.
We are seeking to recruit applications from primary school teachers and secondary subject specialists who have the ability to teach other subjects when required.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
