An experienced Tax Manager is needed for a crucial Reporting and Compliance role within an in-house team. Responsibilities

  • Preparation of tax provisions (Year End and Half-year) and deferred tax calculations under IFRS.
  • Ensure accurate tax disclosures in financial statements, liaising with auditors as needed.
  • Analyse tax accounting positions and maintain compliance with IFRS requirements.
  • Partner with finance teams to assess tax risks and optimize tax accounting processes.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors handling corporate tax, VAT/GST, and other tax filings.
  • Review tax filings and payments prepared by external providers to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation in tax reporting and compliance processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities and external tax advisors.
  • Assist with ad-hoc CIT, VAT, and employment tax queries across the group.
  • Support the tax team on ad-hoc project work.
  • Assist in the SAO compliance cycle.
  • Develop and implement controls to improve tax reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify potential tax risks and provide recommendations to mitigate exposures.
  • Support tax planning initiatives and assess the tax impact of business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal finance, accounting, and legal teams on tax-related matters.

Job description

A qualified corporate Tax Manager is sought by an in-house team for a Reporting and Compliance role. This position would suit an experienced manager or senior manager.
Reporting to the Head of Tax, your responsibilities would include:

Tax Reporting
  • Preparation of tax provisions (Year End and Half-year) and deferred tax calculations under IFRS.
  • Ensure accurate tax disclosures in financial statements, liaising with auditors as needed.
  • Analyse tax accounting positions and maintain compliance with IFRS requirements.
