The role involves providing tax input on investment proposals, coordinating with external advisers, and ensuring tax governance. A major UK-based financial services organisation is seeking a Tax Manager to support the tax affairs of its growing private markets and real-asset investment activities. This role offers a broad mix of advisory exposure, compliance oversight, and hands‑on collaboration with investment, finance, and operational teams.
You’ll be working within a central tax function that supports multiple business units, helping them navigate tax implications across complex transactions and ongoing investment structures. The team welcomes applicants from a variety of tax backgrounds. While experience in real‑estate or private markets tax is helpful, candidates with strong corporation tax or transaction‑related experience are equally encouraged to apply.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the entire investment lifecycle – from evaluating new deals to ensuring ongoing structures remain tax compliant and efficient. You will be involved in both day‑to‑day technical support and longer‑term tax governance and risk management activities.

Contribute to improvements in tax controls, reporting processes, and governance frameworks
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess how these may affect the organisation’s investment strategy
