Job description

Our client is a Top 100 accountancy firm. Headquartered in Leeds with offices in London, Hertford, Sheffield, York and Thirsk, the firm has a national client base. Each of their offices offer a full range of business and advisory services. They work with individuals and owner-managed businesses, supporting them with Tax Returns and Self-Assessment and as part of the next stage of development they seek a Tax Manager for their Leeds or Hertford office.
Reporting to the Tax Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the team in the completion of individual and partnership tax returns and will actively engage in monitoring the performance of the tax team and assisting with training and improvement.
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Proactively managing your own client allocation of personal tax cases.
• Reviewing tax work with a view to maintaining high standards.
• Analysing team performance with a view to identifying training needs.
• Engaging with the training and development of tax team members.
• Monitoring team performance & profitability.
• Leading/Assisting on ad hoc tax advisory projects as required.
It is likely that you will have a relevant professional qualification (ATT, ACA, CTA, ICAS or equivalent). Our client would also consider an excellent ‘qualified by experience’ candidate Hybrid and flexible working available.
