This role supports the delivery of complex and high-quality tax advisory work across personal, corporate, and trust taxation. The Tax Associate will assist with research-led advisory projects, preparation of technical documentation, and client-facing deliverables while working closely with senior tax professionals on varied and interesting assignments.

  • Supporting tax advisory projects such as business restructures, share reorganisations, company sales, and shareholder transactions
  • Assisting with EIS/SEIS relief claims, share incentive schemes, and annual compliance requirements
  • Contributing to inheritance tax planning, succession planning, and family wealth structuring
  • Supporting advisory work involving domicile, residence, and cross-border tax issues
  • Assisting with trusts, including trust compliance and Trust Registration Service matters
  • Preparing client correspondence, internal memoranda, and legal/tax documentation
Profile
  • ATT or CTA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Strong grounding in UK personal and business taxation
  • Experience supporting advisory work, technical research, or complex tax compliance
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet project deadlines
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across departments and with clients
  • A proactive approach to learning and staying up to date with tax legislation
  • Experience within a regional or mid-tier practice (desirable)
  • Familiarity with tax software such as CCH TaxCalc (advantageous)
