Squarepoint has a newly created role for a Tax Analyst to join their growing tax team and assist in various aspects of the Group’s international tax obligations for its investment vehicles. The successful candidate will be based in our London office and reporting to the Tax Manager based in London.

  • Support the team in the compliance obligations for the funds, including ASC 740, and investor reporting in the USA and the UK and launch of new fund vehicles.
  • Assist in and liaise with advisors on preparation and reporting requirements under FATCA,CRS and other global regulations, including registration and compliance.
  • Provide support to the wider business by researching and liaising with advisors on tax advisory matters and ad hoc tax queries for a range of international jurisdictions.
  • Help monitoring international tax developments and other tax projects as directed, for example considerations for addressing new markets/jurisdictions or new funds.
  • Interaction with various other internal departments including Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and HR.
  • Assist with oversight of the tax risk management framework for all the Group's investment products including the maintenance of internal policies and framework documents.
  • Assist with documentation and process for setup of new entities in the structure, and ongoing requirements for existing entities including external correspondence with tax authorities.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant tax experience within the Financial Services tax team of a Professional Services firm or relevant industry experience
  • Relevant recognized qualification (ACA, CTA, or equivalent)
  • Team player with strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgment
  • Ability to multi-task as well as meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work within a rapidly moving environment and be adaptable to change
  • Detail oriented; demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work.
