Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking a Senior System Verification Engineer to oversee verification efforts for innovative audio and video products in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will ensure that solutions meet high quality and performance standards. Key responsibilities include designing test plans, collaborating with teams, and troubleshooting issues. Senior System Verification Engineer – Audio & Connected Devices

We’re looking for a Senior System Verification Engineer to lead verification efforts across cutting‑edge audio and video products. In this role, you’ll ensure integrated solutions meet the highest standards of quality, interoperability, and performance. This is a 6‑month contract based in Edinburgh. Rate: £60 – £70ph – outside IR35

Responsibilities
  • Drive system‑level verification for advanced audio communication products.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for complex ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate innovative testing strategies.
  • Utilize state‑of‑the‑art lab tools to validate hardware / software interoperability.
  • Provide technical leadership and ensure timely, high‑quality outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in live environments.
Requirements
  • Extensive and proven recent and relevant experience in system testing, quality engineering, or related technical fields.
  • Solid expertise in identifying customer‑impacting defects, and advanced knowledge of software and hardware interoperability issues and solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, electronics or a related field. A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
  • In‑depth understanding of architectures, protocols, and integrations within Audio Electronics / Communications.
  • Hands‑on experience with C, C++, Python, and scripting for automation.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and clear communication.
