Responsibilities
  • Define and manage embedded software and firmware requirements, supporting system‑level design and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain complex system requirements aligned with rapid release schedules.
  • Lead requirement flow‑down from system‑level to design and implementation teams.
  • Generate and manage detailed requirement sets and support baseline change control.
  • Conduct hazard and safety analysis for naval systems, including Functional Failure Analysis (FFA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes, Effects and Causes Analysis (FMECA), Structured What‑If Analysis (SWIFT), HAZOPs.
  • Develop safety requirements, safety cases, and evidence‑based arguments using Goal Structuring Notation (GSN).
  • Strong experience in requirements engineering for embedded software / firmware.
  • Skilled in system design and verification across iterative baselines.
  • Background in systems safety engineering, particularly for naval systems.
  • Proficiency in hazard identification, analysis techniques, and safety case development.
