Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking a DV clearable Systems Engineer for a role focused on MoD/Government projects. The successful candidate will design, configure, and support advanced government programmes and ensure compliance with technical requirements. Applicants must have strong networks and systems design skills, a degree in engineering, and the ability to achieve DV Security Clearance. This position is permanent and onsite in Redhill, England.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Engineer to join a MoD/Government Systems Engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in the design, configuration, delivery, and support of advanced government programmes. You will be involved across the full systems lifecycle, collaborating with project teams, internal stakeholders, and agencies to ensure that solutions meet stringent technical and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and configure systems for MoD/Government projects.
  • Deliver assigned work in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
  • Define IP structures and provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams.
  • Participate proactively in the Duty MoD/Gov Engineer rota and support structure.
  • Liaise with MoD/Gov agencies for trials and technical activities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Must hold, or can achieve, DV Security Clearance.
  • Strong understanding of networks and systems design.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience (Engineering degree preferred).
  • Professional registration (e.g., IEng/CEng) desirable.
  • Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) minimum level; Juniper certification/experience also considered.
