Job summary

A leading maritime technology company is seeking an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Air Lubrication Control systems. The ideal candidate will have an MEng Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, significant industry experience, and a strong background in marine classification society rules. Reporting To: Lead Systems Engineer

Location: Southampton Office

An Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Air Lubrication Control systems. You will be involved in Identify talvez in integrating electrical systems with control technologies and instrumentation to ensure safe and reliable operations. You will also provide Marine standards experience and a strong history of collaborating across disciplines to deliver complex technical solutions.

Experience / Qualifications Required

Essential

  • MEng Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, equivalent Applied Science degree or equivalent work-based training.
  • Significant relevant industry experience.
  • Have participated in Marine Industry and Industrial Plant Equipment projects, building practical experience across the product development lifecycle.
  • Applied network and communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, and NMEA in system designs and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Exhibit strong verbal, written and presentation skills and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in CAD tools for electrical and controls documentation (i.e. AutoCAD, EPLAN etc).
  • Gained foundational experience in using MATLAB/Simulink, object-oriented programming languages, and Python for basic tasks.
  • Applied marine classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR) in project designs and ensured compliance.
