A leading NHS trust in Grimsby is seeking an enthusiastic Telephonist to join their Switchboard team. The role involves handling all telephone calls, managing emergency calls, and providing patient-focused assistance. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and basic IT literacy. Flexible working hours are available to meet service needs.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Trust's Grimsby Switchboard team. The post holder will be responsible for handling all telephone calls through a busy switchboard as part of a team of patient-focused Telephonists within the Trust, ensuring the service supplied by the switchboard is provided to an acceptable standard. Enquiries will come from the general public and all levels of staff. The post holder will handle emergency calls and alarm systems. The post requires the ability to concentrate for long periods of time and the flexibility to work at short notice for the need of the service. A basic comprehension of IT and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
There are opportunities to complete a range of apprenticeships, many of which are transferable to other roles within the organisation. Training is provided to support the role and ensures high-quality service delivery.
